Enrollment Policy
Before registering for any courses, please ensure that you have read our enrollment policy below.
Course fees include: e-book/book, training material and instructor fees.
Course fees are subject to change without notice.
Course fees are due upon registration, and can be paid by credit card.
Course fees that are sponsored by companies/schools must submit notice by email to: esic@shaw.ca. Companies/schools will receive an invoice and a coupon code for the participant to use to complete registration for a course. Participants will have 7 business days to register for a first aid course before the code expires.
Courses are first come first serve basis. Courses are confirmed to run when it meets a minimum of 8 participants, thus, in the case a course is cancelled due to low enrollment, participants have the option to be transferred to the next available course or hold course credit to register at a later time at no additional cost.
Participant Conduct Policy
100% attendance and participation is mandatory for all certification courses.
Participants who show up more than 30 minutes late will not be allowed into the course and will be considered as a NO SHOW.
Full course fees will be charged to participants who do not show up on the course date (non refundable).
If you are unable to attend the full course for any reason, we ask you to reschedule at least 7 days prior to the start of the first day of class. Please see our reschedule policy for further instructions.
Refund Policy
ESIC has a no refund policy. This is due to the amount of planning that goes into our courses and to ensure that we do not have to cancel the course due to low enrollment. You may request to reschedule your course up until seven days prior to the first day of class. Please see our reschedule policy for further instructions.
Reschedule Policy
All transfers must be requested 7 business days prior to the course date (not including the course day) by email: esic@shaw.ca.
First transfer request is FREE of charge. Subsequent transfers will be subjected to an administrative & instructor fee of $75 per transfer.
No transfers or refunds will be offered if requests are within the 7 business days prior to the course date (not including the course day); the full course fee will be charged to participant.

Remedial Policy
Participants have up to one year to complete all the certification requirements, starting on the last day of their original first aid course. If participants are unsuccessful with their practical exam on the last day of their course, they will be allowed to re-attempt their exam at a later course date; up to a maximum of two re-attempts. A fee of $250 will be charged for an additional three attempts and a one year extension to complete all the certification requirements.
We understand everyone learns at different speeds and we encourage participants to re-attend courses and practice at no additional cost.
